Marin Lodge Installation of Officers
and Holiday Dinner
Marin Lodge's Installation of Officers was held on Saturday, December 17th, 2022 at Marin Lodge. Their new corps of officers were installed including their new Worshipful Master, Wor. Brother David Hammond.They celebrated with their Annual Holiday Dinner at Chalet Basque in Terra Linda.
Star of the Redwoods OES
Star of the Redwoods Chapter OES installed their 2023 Officers on Sunday, November 20th at Mill Valley Lodge.
Passing of Worshipful Charles Hoyez PM
It is with regret that we inform you of the passing of Worshipful Charles Hoyez PM of Mill Valley and Marin Lodge. Worshipful Charles was first a member of Coastside Lodge in Pacifica, after moving to Marin, he joined Mill Valley Lodge which became his Masonic home, where he was a well loved member of their Lodge. Wor. Charles made countless contributions to each of the Lodges in Marin through his ritual efforts. He assisted in many Masonic degrees. He was an avid reader of the Bible. He was also an avid hiker. He was a member of and served as an officer of Mill Valley Chapter OES, now Star of the Redwoods Chapter OES. It is an understatement to say that he was loved by all and that he will be missed.
Bocce Ball Tournament
In June, Marin Lodge participated in a Bocce Ball Tournament hosted by Mill Valley Lodge. It took place at the Bocce Ball courts in Albert Park in San Rafael. Worshipful Tom Benoit prepared fine food for the event. All who attended had a good time. Our thanks to Worshipful Tom and the members of Mill Valley Lodge for their efforts.
Marin Lodge's Mason of the Year
Earlier this year, Worshipful Master Anthony Tufo announced that Marin Lodge's Mason of the Year recipient is Wor. Brother Victor Adams PM. Wor. Brother Victor works tirelessly on behalf of the brethren of Marin Lodge in his role as their secretary. Further, he is their primary candidates' coach. They are exceptionally proud of Victor as a Mason and as the secretary of their Lodge. In order to mark the occasion, Marin Lodge held a Mason of the Year Dinner for him on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 at Cafe Arrividerci in San Rafael.
Conferral of Master Mason Degree
Ross Valley Lodge conferred the Master Mason Degree upon two brethren in March.
Joint Installation of 2022 Officers
The officers of Mill Valley Lodge and Marin Lodge were installed together on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. Afterwards, they retired to the library for refreshments and fellowship.
Entered Apprentice Degree
Mill Valley Lodge conferred the Entered Apprentice Degree on Tuesday, January 18th.
